HeForShe Student Fellowship

HeForShe Student Fellowship

The Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement seeks applicants for HeForShe Student Fellowships during the spring 2018 semester.

HeForShe is a United Nations campaign run by UN Women, an international organization that advocates for gender equality. Since 2016 Georgetown has participated as a founding Impact Champion.

Fellows work five to seven hours per week in support of university offices and programs that embody Georgetown's commitment to the principle of gender equality. Tasks may include helping with events, communications, programs, and/or research as needed. Fellows also will meet monthly and be expected to write at least one feature story over the course of the semester.

Compensation is $15/hour for undergraduates and $18/hour for graduate students. All full-time undergraduate, graduate, and professional Georgetown students are eligible to apply. Criteria for selection are: academic standing, writing ability, demonstrated experience and commitment, and fit with participating university offices and programs, including the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace, and Security, the Gender Justice Initiative, the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity & Affirmative Action, and the Women's and Gender Studies Program.

The list of spring 2018 student fellows is available on the HeForShe Fellows page.
