Advanced Studies in England
A non-profit branch campus of Franklin and Marshall College, Advanced Studies in England (ASE) offers single semester and full year programmes to high calibre US undergraduates. British faculty, many from Oxford University, teach students in small seminar groups and Oxford-style tutorials. ASE offers an array of creative and challenging courses in the arts, humanities, and social sciences, as well as an in-depth internship program and a well-regarded education programme with local schools. The programme also features a comprehensive social and intercultural programme, including course-based study trips, whole programme visits, intercultural talks, and links to a wide range of city- and university-based clubs, societies, volunteer opportunities, and activities. Students are housed in beautiful and historic town houses throughout the city centre of Bath, the UK's only World Heritage City, 90 minutes west of London with a lively and welcoming population, which consists of 15% students.
