Alan Andreasan

Alan Andreasan is professor of marketing at the McDonough School of Business of Georgetown University and executive director of the Social Marketing Institute. He is a specialist in consumer behavior and a world leader in the application of marketing to nonprofit organizations, social marketing, and the market problems of disadvantaged consumers.

International achievements include: 

  • ‚ÄčAuthor or editor of 17 books (including revisions) and numerous monographs.
  • Published over 120 articles and conference papers.
  • Received the 2007 Richard W. Pollay Prize for Intellectual Excellence in Research on Marketing in the Public Interest and, in 2008, received the first lifetime achievement award of the Marketing and Society Special Interest Group of the American Marketing Association.
  • Past President of the Association for Consumer Research and Honorary Editor of the International Journal of Non Profit Marketing.
