Xue Lan

Xue Lan is Cheung Kong Chair Distinguished Professor and dean of the School of Public Policy and Management at Tsinghua University. His teaching and research interests include science, technology, and innovation policy, crisis management, and global governance. He is a co-convener of the Initiative for U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues faculty research group on business and trade. He is also a member of the U.S.-China Research Group on Managing Strategic Competition.

  • Serves as an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University and a non-resident senior fellow of the Brookings Institution.
  • Member of the National Committee for Strategic Consultation and Comprehensive Review, a member of the United Nations University Council, and a co-chair of the Leadership Council of the UN Sustainable Development Solution Network.
  • Recipient of the Fudan Distinguished Contribution Award for Management Science.
