The international human rights regime faces unprecedented challenges from rising nationalism, war, and populist opposition. Assaults on health workers, the rights of women and LGBTQ+ people, and the rights-based global order threaten progress toward the global realization of the right to health.

United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health Dr. Tlaleng Mofokeng will address how the right to health can be mobilized in a polycrisis environment to improve the well-being of the most marginalized and improve population health even amidst crises.

This event is co-sponsored by the Center for Global Health Policy & Politics, the O’Neill Institute for National & Global Health Law, the School of Health, and the Global Health Institute at Georgetown University.
