John Rindone

Georgetown University

John Rindone (SFS’20) graduated in 2020 from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He majored in international economics and minored in Chinese, with a certificate in international business diplomacy. He was a 2019-2020 student fellow in the Initiative for U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues Student Fellows program.

  • Received the United States Department of State’s National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) scholarship in 2015 to study Mandarin in Shanghai, China.
  • Participated in the Krogh Honors Seminar, through which he completed original, quantitative research on Chinese soft power, culminating in a presentation at the U.S. State Department.
  • Spent the spring 2019 term at the Zhejiang University of Technology in Hangzhou, China, where he wrote a Chinese-language thesis on the Sino-American “trade war.”
  • Served as a John Carroll Fellow and as a member of Alpha Sigma Nu.
