The Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center sponsors the University-wide Initiative to Reduce Health Disparities in order to actively engage in research focused on reducing cancer disparities among underserved and ethnic minority populations in the District of Columbia. That knowledge can then be disseminated and applied in other underserved communities in the United States and around the globe.
