As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, Georgetown University’s international development team works closely with the Georgetown University Board of Regents Global Engagement Committee to drive the university's global fundraising initiatives. This dynamic team, spanning multiple regions, brings diverse expertise, cultural perspectives, and strategic insights to foster collaboration and advance Georgetown’s strategic ambitions worldwide.
A Team with a Global Footprint
Georgetown’s international development team operates across key locations, including Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America, as well as Greece, India, and Turkey. The team is primarily tasked with raising money to support Georgetown’s campaign priorities, and its members serve as regional experts on behalf of the entire Office of Advancement.
Meet the Leaders behind International Development
Bryn Dolan
Associate Vice President, Regional Development
Bryn Dolan has been with Georgetown University in various capacities for over 20 years and currently serves as the associate vice president of development. She oversees the Planned Giving team and six Regional Development teams, including the international development team. Bryn's team focuses on raising funds to support Georgetown’s established campaign priorities. Before working at Georgetown, she worked on political campaigns and nonprofit organizations based in Washington, D.C. She received her MBA from Georgetown University and her B.A. from Gettysburg College.

Dana Al Dairani
Director of Development, Middle East and North Africa, Greece, India, and Turkey
Originally from the Middle East, Dana is a two-time Hoya, having earned an M.A. in Arab studies from the School of Foreign Service in 2017 and an executive MBA from the McDonough School of Business in 2022. Dana has been part of the Georgetown community since 2018, previously serving as the senior director of programs at the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies. With over 20 years of experience in international educational development and strategic partnerships, she brings her passion and expertise in “Giving for an Impact” to the Office of Advancement. Dana was a 2014 John Smith Trust Rule of Law Fellow and a recipient of the 2015 World of Difference Award from the International Alliance for Women. Dana speaks Arabic and English.

Seánie (Siobhán Patricia) Comerford
Director of Development International, Europe
A native of Ireland, Seánie returned to Georgetown University in fall 2024 as director of development international for Europe, having previously served on the Northeast Development team over 10 years ago. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business studies and German, postgraduate qualifications in psychology and law, and a master’s degree in international public policy from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Seánie has over 20 years of global strategic, operational, and fundraising experience in higher education and the NGO sectors, spanning China, Africa, Europe, and the United States. Deeply committed to Georgetown’s values, she was thrilled to rejoin the Hoya community as a conduit for joyful, impactful philanthropy for Georgetown alumni, parents, and friends in Europe. Seánie speaks English and German.

Ziyun Wang
Associate Director of Development, Asia and (Interim) Latin America
Originally from Asia, Ziyun has been a vital member of Georgetown University’s International Development team since graduating magna cum laude from the College of Arts & Sciences in 2019. As the market leader for Asia, she serves undergraduate and graduate alumni, parents, friends, and foundations across East and Southeast Asia to secure support for initiatives that advance Georgetown’s institutional excellence. In addition to her role in Asia, she serves as the interim contact for donors in Latin America and works closely with members of the Latin American Board, Georgetown’s first and only international advisory board. Ziyun speaks English and Mandarin.
