Global Medieval Studies Program

Georgetown University College of Arts & Sciences

The Global Medieval Studies Program focuses on the period from roughly the official Christianization of the Roman Empire and major advances of Buddhism in China during the Six Dynasties period to the year 1500. Faculty and courses are drawn from sixteen different disciplines within the university, with predominant emphasis on the interrelations among art, history, philosophy, theology, and literature. The program offers an interdisciplinary undergraduate major and minor in the College as well as minors in the School of Foreign Service and the McDonough School of Business.
