Mark Dybul is a professor in the Department of Medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center and the faculty co-director of the Center for Global Health and Quality. He is a member of the Global Health Initiative faculty committee.
International activities include:
- Served as the executive director of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria from January 2013 to May 2017.
- Served as the United States Global AIDS Coordinator from 2006 until the beginning of the Obama administration.
- Led the implementation of the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), the largest international health initiative in history for a single disease.
