In line with the Jesuit emphasis on educating women and men for others, Georgetown offers students numerous volunteer and service opportunities, both locally and around the world.
The Center for Social Justice, Research, Teaching and Service organizes a wide range of volunteer opportunities for the Georgetown community, including after-school and literacy programs, alternative break options, and global social justice research and service opportunities. The Medical Center, Campus Ministry, the Beeck Center for Social Impact, and other organizations also support community engagement, locally, nationally, and internationally. And the Law Center runs renowned legal clinics for those who cannot afford their own representation.
