Georgetown in Tanzania: Healthcare Experiential Learning Initiative
The Tanzania Healthcare Experiential Learning Initiative is a faculty-led, short-term service-learning experience for undergraduate and graduate nursing and midwifery students in the Kilimanjaro region of rural Tanzania, Africa. Students participate in health assessment and screening (primarily for school-age children), health promotion and wellness initiatives, health education for children and the community, and professional development of Tanzanian health care providers.
