The COVID-19 crisis has unfolded rapidly and unexpectedly, placing tremendous strain on public health systems around the world. Specialists across disciplines are actively studying the pandemic's underlying dynamics in order to control the outbreak and better prepare for the next global health threat. The event featured one of the world's leading public health experts, Professor Lawrence Gostin, for a conversation about lessons learned from COVID-19 and how we can best prepare for pandemics in the future. The discussion was hosted by Tiziana Sousou, a member of the Georgetown University Board of Regents.
