New Webinar Series for International Students

At Georgetown and many other universities around the world, the shift to online learning poses multiple challenges for students—not least the maintenance of a vibrant sense of community in the absence of face-to-face interaction.

The challenge of remaining connected can be especially daunting for international students in different parts of the world, having to attend classes and participate in virtual social activities in disparate time zones. A list of resources is available to help international students find ways to get support and connect across campuses.

In order to foster community and to benefit from the knowledge and perspectives of our more than 3,000 international undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, Georgetown is organizing a webinar series this fall with faculty and leading experts on key global issues. The series will dive into important topics ranging from global health, women’s equality, energy and sustainability, the U.S. election, to regional dynamics in the Asia Pacific. The webinars will be hosted by members of the Georgetown University Board of Regents.
