Christopher Loffredo is a professor of oncology and biostatistics in the School of Medicine and a program leader in Cancer Prevention and Control at the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.
International activities include:
- Collaborator on research related to liver and bladder cancer, environmental exposures, and hepatitis B and C viruses in Egypt, Thailand, and Russia; established and directed a tobacco research center in Cairo in partnership with the NIH Fogarty International Center and the Egypt Ministry of Health and Population
- Chapter member of the Children’s Environmental Health and Protection Advisory Committee to the legislature of the State of Maryland
- Author of over 100 peer-reviewed research papers, several books, and book chapters
