Since the School of Foreign Service opened a campus in Doha, Qatar in 2005, Georgetown University in Qatar has become a hub for Georgetown’s academic and outreach activities in the Middle East and North Africa.

In 2023, the McDonough School of Business established an Executive Master of Business Administration in Dubai. On the Hilltop Campus in Washington, DC, the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies and the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies are major hubs for Middle East and North Africa-related research and teaching. The interdisciplinary work of the Center for Jewish Civilization and the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, both in the School of Foreign Service, amplify the university’s engagement across the region.
