Denise Brennan is a professor and chair of the Department of Anthropology in the College.
International activities include:
- Author of two books and numerous op-eds, journals, and chapters
- Research has been supported by the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the Henry Frank Guggenheim Foundation, the American Association for University Women, and the Fulbright Program
- Advisor to the Best Practices Policy Project, board member of organizations that protect the rights of people who engage in commercial sex, and founded the Survivor Leadership Training Fund to provide support for trafficking survivor-advocates
