Ricardo Ernst is the Baratta Chair in Global Business and co-director of the Global Logistics Research program in the McDonough School of Business. He is also managing director of both the Global Business Initiative and the Latin American Board, as well as executive director of the Latin America Leadership Program. He joined Georgetown in 1987.
International activities include:
- Author of over 25 publications in academic journals and co-author of a book on Global Operations and Logistics (John Wiley and Sons, 1998) and on Innovation in Emerging Markets (ed., with J. Haar; Palgrave Macmillan, 2016).
- Ongoing research projects include the virtual journal, Globalization, Competitiveness, and Governability, where he is the editor-in-chief.
- Has consulted with General Motors, Michelin, Rockwool, Casa Cuervo, FEMSA (Coca-Cola), Wal-Mart, the Pan American Health Organization, and the World Bank.
