Bryan McCann is a professor in Department of History in the College. He joined the Georgetown faculty in 2002 and was a member of the Latin America Initiative Faculty Committee (2016-2017).
International activities include:
- Published four books and over 15 articles in academic journals and edited volumes.
- Conducting ongoing research projects include Cities from Scratch: The Informal City in Latin America (2014), which explores urban informality in Latin America and analyzes connections to evolving political and economic structures.
- Served as president of the Brazilian Studies Association from 2014 to 2016.
