Daniel Byman is vice dean for undergraduate affairs in the School of Foreign Service and a professor in the Security Studies Program and the Department of Government. He joined the Georgetown faculty in 2003.
Major international activities include:
- Senior fellow in the Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution
- Served as a professional staff member with the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks on the United States (“The 9/11 Commission”)
- Authored six books and over 50 articles and chapters in policy and peer-reviewed academic journals on the topic of international security
