Rochelle Davis is an associate professor of anthropology and director of the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies in the School of Foreign Service. She is affiliated faculty with the Department of Anthropology in the College. She joined the Georgetown faculty in 2005.
International activities include:
- Lead qualitative researcher and co-principal investigator on a four-year longitudinal (panel) study of 4,000 Iraqi households internally displaced by ISIS in Iraq conducted with the International Organization for Migration (2015-present)
- Trained refugee research teams in Arabic to conduct qualitative interviews for studies of Iraqi refugees in Jordan (2010), Palestinian refugees from Syria in Lebanon (2013), and Syrian, Somali, and Sudanese refugees in Jordan (2013-2104)
- Conducted research in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, West Bank, Israel, and Iraq
